Marriott Bonvoy Offers Enhanced Amex Card Welcome Bonuses

Marriott Bonvoy is offering enhanced welcome bonuses on two of its American Express co-branded credit cards, the Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant® American Express® Card and the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® Credit Card, with these promotions set to conclude on September 30, 2026. These offers aim to attract new cardholders by providing significant point earnings and statement credits, accelerating their path to elite status within the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program. The Marriott Bonvoy program, recognized by TPG as the Best Hotel Loyalty Program for two consecutive years, encompasses over 30 brands and more than 9,000 properties globally, catering to a wide range of traveler needs from luxury to budget-friendly options.

New applicants for the Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant® American Express® Card can earn 150,000 bonus points and receive a $250 statement credit after spending $6,000 on eligible purchases within the first six months of account opening. This premium card carries a $650 annual fee. Cardholders also receive an anniversary free night award, valid at properties with redemption, equal to one night (redemption, up to 85,000 Marriott Bonvoy points) at hotels not exceeding the points limit. The card also provides a $250 credit for eligible purchases with Marriott Bonvoy properties annually, which can be used for room rates or other expenses. Additionally, it offers a Global Entry or TSA PreCheck credit of up to $100 every four years as reimbursement for the application fee. Cardholders also benefit from complimentary Priority Pass Select membership, granting access to over 1,300 airport lounges worldwide, and receive 25 elite night credits toward achieving elite status each year. The card offers 6X total points on eligible purchases at hotels participating in Marriott Bonvoy, 3X points on U.S. restaurants and U.S. flights booked directly with airlines or on amextravel.com, and 2X points on all other eligible purchases.

The Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® Credit Card, a more accessible option, allows new cardholders to earn 100,000 bonus points after spending $3,000 on eligible purchases within the first three months of account opening. This card has a $95 annual fee. It also provides an anniversary free night award, valid for one night (redemption, up to 35,000 Marriott Bonvoy points) at hotels not exceeding the points limit. Cardholders earn 6X total points on eligible purchases at hotels participating in Marriott Bonvoy, 3X points on eligible dining and grocery purchases, and 2X points on all other eligible purchases. The Boundless card also offers 15 elite night credits toward elite status each year. Both cards offer the potential for earning Marriott Bonvoy points on qualifying charges at participating Marriott Bonvoy hotels, with members earning up to 10 points per dollar spent. These points can be redeemed for hotel stays, room upgrades, or transferred to over 38 airline partners. Elite status tiers within Marriott Bonvoy offer additional perks such as bonus points, space-available room upgrades, early check-in, and late checkout, subject to availability and applicable to Gold and Platinum Elite members for room upgrades.
