Model A — Upstage
Solar Open 2 is an open-weight hybrid-attention mixture-of-experts model from Upstage, released on July 22, 2026 for agentic use (office productivity, document-intensive work and coding), with official support for Korean, English and Japanese. Upstage’s closed-beta API for it ran from July 8 to August 12, 2026; the open weights remain available.
Model B — Tencent
Hy3 is Tencent Hy's hybrid fast-and-slow-thinking Mixture-of-Experts model with 295 billion total and 21 billion active parameters and up to 256K context, released with open weights under Apache 2.0. Tencent says it is used across WorkBuddy/CodeBuddy, Yuanbao, Marvis and ima.
