WWDC 2026: Everything announced on Siri AI, iOS 27, Apple Intelligence and more

Apple announced its next-generation AI features, branded as Apple Intelligence, at WWDC 2026 on June 10, 2026. These enhancements will be integrated across iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia, aiming to make devices more personal and useful. Key updates include a significantly improved Siri, capable of understanding context across apps and performing complex actions, such as summarizing emails or taking notes during calls. Apple Intelligence also introduces new writing tools for composing and rewriting text, a priority notification system, and enhanced image generation capabilities. The company highlighted that these AI features will be processed on-device for privacy and speed, with a "Private Cloud Compute" option for more complex tasks that ensures data is not stored or accessible by Apple. This marks a significant shift for Apple in embracing generative AI, with features rolling out later this year to iPhone 15 Pro and later, M1-chip iPads, and M1-chip Macs and beyond. During the keynote, Apple also revealed iOS 18, which includes a redesigned Photos app, customizable Control Center, and enhanced Messages features like tapbacks and scheduled send. macOS Sequoia will feature iPhone Mirroring, allowing users to access and control their iPhone from their Mac, and an updated Safari browser with a new "Highlights" feature. The company also previewed visionOS 2, set to launch this fall, which will bring spatial photos and new gestures to the Apple Vision Pro.
