White House Restores UK AI Institute's Frontier Model Access

The White House has reversed its prior decision and restored the UK's AI Safety Institute's early access to frontier AI models. In September, the Trump administration had instructed companies including Anthropic, Google DeepMind, and OpenAI to cease sharing their models with the British agency. Diplomatic pressure exerted by AI Minister Kanishka Narayan was instrumental in prompting this reversal. The UK AI Safety Institute will now regain access to these advanced AI models.
