URWERK Unveils One-Of-A-Kind UR-1001 Amadeus Pocket Watch

URWERK has unveiled the UR-1001 Amadeus, a unique pocket watch designed as a "Zeit Device" that measures time across vast scales, from seconds to millennia. The watch's nickname, "Amadeus," is a tribute to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, reflecting the piece's extravagant and avant-garde spirit. The front of the watch displays URWERK's characteristic satellite hours with retrograde minutes, an orbital annual calendar, and a hand-painted day/night disc, complemented by a power reserve indicator. The reverse side of the watch extends its temporal display with a service interval counter, a 100-year odometer, and a millennium indicator designed to advance imperceptibly slowly. The intricate mechanism powering these displays is the Calibre UR-10.01, a 51-jewel movement that beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour and incorporates a retrograde mechanism and a shock-absorbing safety system.
