Cybersecurity researchers have disclosed details of an advanced persistent threat (APT) spear-phishing campaign targeting individuals affiliated with Taiwan research organizations. The campaign uses fake event invites to direct victims to an adversary-in-the-middle (AitM) phishing framework.
This framework is designed to harvest victims' Google account credentials and multi-factor authentication (MFA) codes. The activity is being tracked by researchers who have disclosed the campaign's details.
