The Witcher 3 Expansion, Songs of the Past, Announced

The development of "Songs of the Past" is being handled by Fool's Theory, a game studio founded by former CD Projekt Red veterans. Marcin Blacha, VP Story Director at CD Projekt Red, stated that the story for "Songs of the Past" had been conceived "for many years" but was put aside as the studio shifted focus to titles like Cyberpunk 2077 and the upcoming The Witcher 4. Recognizing the development timeline for The Witcher 4, which is not expected until 2028, CD Projekt Red identified a release window for "Songs of the Past." The collaboration with Fool's Theory was crucial for bringing this long-gestating story content to fruition.
