The Jeep Recon EV goes on sale for $67,000 with a limited range
The Jeep Recon EV went on sale on March 18, 2024, with a starting price of $67,000. This electric off-road vehicle offers an estimated driving range of 220 miles on a single charge, which falls short of initial expectations for the segment. The Recon EV is built on Stellantis's STLA Large platform, shared with other upcoming electric Jeep models like the Wagoneer S. It features a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system, providing 470 horsepower and enabling a 0-60 mph acceleration in approximately 4.5 seconds. Standard equipment includes 18-inch wheels with 32-inch all-terrain tires, and optional 20-inch wheels with 33-inch tires are available. The vehicle also boasts a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 10.3-inch digital instrument cluster. Production is slated to begin in the second quarter of 2024 at Stellantis's manufacturing facility in Toluca, Mexico.
