The Google / Xreal Aura XR glasses are now available to preorder
Xreal and Google opened preorders for their collaborative augmented reality glasses, now named Xreal Aura, on June 10, 2024. The device is available for a $99 reservation fee, with a full launch anticipated in the US, UK, Japan, Canada, and South Korea during Fall 2024. This marks a significant step for the Project Aura initiative, which aims to develop Android XR devices. The Xreal Aura is positioned as the second Android XR device to enter the market, following the initial announcement of the collaboration. The company has not yet disclosed the full retail price or detailed specifications for the Xreal Aura, but preorders are live on Xreal's website. This release signifies continued investment in the mixed reality hardware space by both Xreal and Google.
