2027 Cadillac Lyriq Adds Key Upgrade for $200 Increase

The 2027 model year of the Cadillac Lyriq electric SUV is now available for customers to order, introducing a significant upgrade for a minimal price adjustment. This updated Lyriq comes with a $200 price increase compared to the 2026 model, bringing its starting price to $58,590, including a mandatory $1,395 destination charge. The most impactful enhancement for the 2027 Lyriq is the integration of GM's new Ultifi software platform. This platform is designed to enable over-the-air (OTA) updates for a wide range of vehicle features and functionalities, allowing Cadillac to continuously improve the Lyriq's performance, add new capabilities, and even introduce entirely new features throughout the vehicle's lifespan without requiring a dealership visit. The Ultifi platform is built on an open Linux-based operating system and leverages a software-defined architecture, which is a key component of General Motors' broader strategy to evolve its vehicles into connected digital platforms. Both configurations utilize a 102 kWh battery pack. The interior of the Lyriq remains largely unchanged, featuring a large 33-inch diagonal LED display that spans across the dashboard, integrating the instrument cluster and infotainment system. Standard features on the Lyriq include heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and a panoramic fixed glass roof. Safety features also remain robust, with standard Super Cruise, Cadillac's advanced driver-assistance system, which allows for hands-free driving on compatible highways. The Lyriq, first introduced for the 2023 model year, is Cadillac's first all-electric SUV and is built on General Motors' Ultium platform, a modular battery architecture designed for a variety of electric vehicles across GM's brands.
