Tesla is partnering with car rental platform Turo to offer test drives of its Full Self-Driving (Supervised) system. Starting October 28, Turo users in the US will be able to search for Teslas with FSD enabled.
This integration will allow Turo to directly verify the FSD status of each vehicle through a connection with Tesla. The initiative provides a new avenue for potential customers to experience FSD without owning a Tesla.
For Tesla, this partnership represents a novel method to expose more individuals to its FSD technology and potentially increase FSD subscriptions, which contribute to Elon Musk's compensation package.
