Schlage’s UWB-enabled smart lock launches this month

Schlage launched its UWB-enabled smart lock, the Schlage Sense Pro deadbolt, on June 29th for $399 in the US. This new deadbolt allows users to unlock their doors automatically by simply approaching them with a compatible smartphone or wearable device. The integration of ultra-wideband (UWB) technology enables precise spatial awareness, facilitating a seamless and secure unlocking experience without requiring users to take out their phones. Schlage's announcement follows over a year after the initial reveal of their UWB smart lock concept, indicating a significant development in smart home access technology.
