Schema.org now shows you how many sites are using each schema type

Schema.org released aggregate usage statistics for its terms across the public web on an unspecified date, allowing users to see how many domains implement specific structured data elements. This new dataset, updated monthly, aggregates data at the domain level rather than by individual pages to filter out daily fluctuations and highlight meaningful adoption trends for researchers and toolmakers. The statistics are presented in popularity range buckets, such as '10K - 100K' domains, to maintain data stability and protect website privacy. Schema.org explained that term frequencies are measured within Google's public web crawling infrastructure. The raw data files are accessible on GitHub in JSON and CSV formats, including a JSON summary with aggregated bucket distributions. The dataset includes the term type (Type or Property), its official URI, and the domain count bucket indicating the range of unique domains using the term. For example, the 'author' schema and 'event' schema pages now display these usage statistics prominently.
