Quantum Light Pigments Enhance Denim Color

NZ Denim announced this week the development of a new denim fabric incorporating Quantum Light’s proprietary Quantum Red pigment. This innovation aims to significantly enhance the color saturation and longevity of dyed denim.

The Quantum Red pigment is a quantum dot-based material engineered to provide exceptionally bright and stable colors. Unlike traditional dyes, quantum dots offer a narrower emission spectrum, resulting in purer and more vibrant hues. NZ Denim's integration of this technology into their fabric production signifies a move towards more advanced material science in the textile industry.

Quantum Light, the developer of the pigment, specializes in creating light-emitting quantum dots for various applications, including displays and lighting. Their entry into the textile market with this pigment suggests a broader strategy to leverage quantum dot technology beyond electronics. The company claims their pigment offers superior lightfastness and wash resistance compared to conventional denim dyes.
