Public School SS27 'LIVING PROOF' Explores Urban Modularity

Public School New York presented its Spring/Summer 2027 collection, titled ‘LIVING PROOF,’ on Thursday, September 10, during New York Fashion Week at Gotham Hall in Manhattan. This marks the brand's second show since its return to the runway after a seven-year hiatus, building upon the momentum of its Fall/Winter 2026 comeback collection, ‘Everything is Now.’ While the previous collection signified a homecoming, ‘LIVING PROOF’ is characterized by its evolution and is described by designers Maxwell Osborne and Dao-Yi Chow as "a dialogue in modularity." The collection aims to prepare wearers for the unpredictable elements of urban living, presenting a survey of familiar urban environments reimagined for the future.

The ‘LIVING PROOF’ collection integrates a diverse array of materials, blending natural fibers such as wool, baby ribbed cotton, yarn-dyed cupro, viscose, and cashmere cottons with technical synthetics like washed ripstop nylon. This juxtaposition of textures and material properties is intended to enhance the garments' readiness for various conditions. The color palette is deliberately restrained, featuring navy, black, greys, and stone tones.
