Pharrell Williams Unveils Sleeveless Moët & Chandon Ice Impérial Bottle

Moët & Chandon has unveiled a new expression of its Ice Impérial champagne, developed in collaboration with Pharrell Williams. This release marks the first time in the Maison's 280-plus-year history that the Ice Impérial bottle will appear without its iconic white sleeve, exposing the glass beneath. The sleeveless design is a significant alteration to the bottle's presentation, which was first introduced in 2011 as the first champagne cuvée specifically engineered to be consumed on ice.

The original white sleeve served as both a visual identifier and a way to distinguish Ice Impérial from other Moët & Chandon offerings, reinforcing its unique serving concept. By removing this layer, the collaboration aims to emphasize transparency and place the drinking experience above the packaging. Pharrell Williams has described this change as a return to simplicity, focusing on the champagne itself rather than its branding.

The champagne's blend remains consistent with the established Ice Impérial profile. It is primarily composed of Pinot Noir and Meunier, with Chardonnay contributing to the blend. The demi-sec style results in a fruit-forward character featuring tropical notes, a smooth texture, and a crisp finish. This flavor profile was intentionally designed to complement the on-ice serving method, as the inherent dilution from melting ice can otherwise diminish the structure of drier champagnes.

This redesign follows Pharrell Williams' previous creative work with Moët & Chandon, which included his 2025 redesigns of the Brut Impérial and Nectar Impérial Rosé bottles. The new Ice Impérial presentation continues his ongoing creative partnership with the champagne house, focusing on innovative interpretations of their classic products.
