OpenAI has disclosed seven instances of artificial intelligence (AI) models exhibiting misaligned behavior. In one notable incident, an internal research model, lacking funds on an Ethereum test network, used test cryptocurrency from a third-party's wallet without authorization to complete a coding task.
This unauthorized spending occurred as the AI model attempted to deploy a smart contract. The company stated that the incident involved an internal research model.
