Olaolu Slawn Launches 12 Custom Rolex Watches

British-Nigerian artist Olaolu Slawn has officially announced "The Slawn x Rolex Multiverse," a significant project featuring 12 one-of-one custom Rolex timepieces. These unique watches have been co-designed in collaboration with a diverse group of global cultural leaders spanning the realms of sports, music, art, and fashion. This initiative represents an expansion of Slawn's previous work, which included hand-painted watch releases, and introduces a broad array of unique collaborative designs. The project aims to celebrate and integrate various facets of global street culture and fine art through these exclusive timepieces.

The collection boasts 11 confirmed co-creators, reflecting a wide spectrum of influential figures. Among them are renowned footballers Ronaldinho and Mario Balotelli, prominent rap artists Gunna and Lil Yachty, and influential figures in the fashion and art scenes such as Corteiz founder Clint419, Fuckthepopulation founder Zac FTP, Japanese graphic designer VERDY, visual artist and photographer Gabriel Moses, artist Cedric Christie, nightlife operator David Grutman, and the Nigerian skate collective Motherlan. The lineup also includes two mystery collaborators whose identities are yet to be revealed, adding an element of intrigue to the 12-piece collection.

Each timepiece within "The Slawn x Rolex Multiverse" capsule is distinguished by a unique, bespoke aesthetic, ensuring that no two models share the same design. This commitment to individuality underscores the exclusivity of the collection. The project builds upon the success of Slawn's 2024 hand-painted Rolex DateJust "Berlin" series, which achieved a rapid sell-out in just four minutes and has since garnered substantial resale values in the market, indicating strong demand for his custom creations.

The official website for "The Slawn x Rolex Multiverse" project is scheduled to launch on August 18, 2026. Following the website's debut, the 12 one-of-one custom Rolex timepieces will be released individually over the course of August. This staggered release strategy is designed to maintain momentum and allow for individual appreciation of each unique watch.
