Moncler Unveils Mountain-Inspired Collection with Hiroshi Fujiwara's fragment

Italian luxury outerwear brand Moncler has unveiled a significant new collaborative collection with fragment, the influential design studio founded by Japanese streetwear icon Hiroshi Fujiwara. This partnership, described as a "homecoming of sorts," draws inspiration from vintage Japanese souvenir jackets and a mountain aesthetic, moving away from Moncler's typically urban-focused offerings to celebrate a deeper connection between the two entities. The collection's centerpiece is a striking reversible varsity jacket, meticulously embroidered with a map that visually narrates a journey from Japan to Italy, symbolizing the fusion of Fujiwara's design sensibilities with Moncler's heritage.

Complementing the signature jacket, the range includes a selection of down-free apparel designed for versatility and style. These pieces feature brushed cotton flannel layers in a sophisticated deep green and black dégradé check pattern, alongside practical yet stylish down-free windbreakers, shirt jackets, zip-up hoodies, and graphic jerseys. A notable innovation within this collaboration is the debut of "FRGMTmini," a "Mini Me" capsule collection. The partnership also extends into the realm of footwear with the introduction of the Moncler + Clarks Originals + fragment Trailgrip Wallabee GTX. This distinctive shoe combines the classic silhouette of the Wallabee with Moncler's technical expertise and Clarks Originals' heritage. It features a soft suede upper, a breathable GORE-TEX lining for enhanced weather protection, and Moncler's high-performance Trailgrip Vibram® outsole, ensuring durability and comfort. The primary Moncler x fragment apparel collection was made available immediately following its announcement in select Moncler stores globally and on the official Moncler website (moncler.com). The highly anticipated Trailgrip Wallabee GTX footwear is scheduled for a staggered release, commencing on August 29th at the Moncler Ginza flagship store and its associated webstore.
