MHL. and Dr. Martens Launch Made in England 1461 Shoes

Dr. Martens and MHL. have launched a new collaboration featuring the iconic 1461 shoe, emphasizing utilitarian design and enduring craftsmanship. These shoes are meticulously handcrafted at Dr. Martens’ original Made in England factory located in Northamptonshire. The construction utilizes chrome-free grained oiled leather sourced from C.F. Stead, a tannery based in Leeds.

The collaboration offers two colorways: black and dark brown. The leather's finish is specifically designed to develop a natural patina over time, highlighting the brand's commitment to longevity and character in their products. MHL.'s minimalist design philosophy is evident in the understated functional detailing, while the classic 1461 silhouette ensures the recognizable Dr. Martens identity is preserved.

The campaign for this collaboration was photographed by Kuba Ryniewicz, aiming to showcase the detailed work of both the Northamptonshire factory team and MHL.'s design staff. The campaign visuals are intended to reflect the shared values of integrity in design, respect for the manufacturing process, and a dedication to lasting quality that unites both brands.

This new MHL. x Dr. Martens 1461 shoe is scheduled for a global release on July 16, 2026. Consumers will be able to purchase the shoes through official Dr. Martens channels, Margaret Howell's online store, and select MHL. retail locations.
