Sony Music Vision announced "Always Lalisa," a feature-length documentary chronicling a significant solo year for K-pop artist LISA. The film is set to have its world premiere in the Gala programme at the 2026 Toronto International Film Festival. Directed by Sue Kim, "Always Lalisa" focuses on LISA's first year of independence away from the group BLACKPINK since childhood, detailing her navigation of a solo music career, an acting debut, and global brand-building efforts.

The documentary's narrative structure centers on LISA's experience confronting the pressures and fears associated with launching a solo career, venturing into acting, and cultivating her personal brand, all while maintaining a private life outside the public eye. This period of independence has a defined endpoint, marking her eventual return to BLACKPINK. The film captures the intensity of this year, during which LISA also performed at the opening ceremony of the 2026 FIFA World Cup alongside Anitta and Rema, becoming the first female K-pop artist to do so.
