Tylko Launches Hi-Fi Collection For Intentional Listening

Warsaw-based furniture brand Tylko, known for its bespoke shelving units and sofas, has launched its first hi-fi collection, expanding its product range into audio. The new collection, named Tylko Sound, aims to redefine home listening by integrating high-quality sound systems with furniture design. The concept originated during the curation of Tylko Space Berlin, the brand's inaugural showroom, where architect Paul Cournet of CLOUD experimented with incorporating sound systems into Tylko's units.
Cournet collaborated with Rotterdam-based audio engineering studio Form Follows Frequency to develop a model that not only maintained high-quality sound but also enhanced bass and resonance. This partnership aimed to challenge the misconception that audio quality degrades within built-in structures. Cournet stated that the "incredible relationship between sound and architecture is achieved through design," positioning the speaker as a "perfect vehicle for that experience" and transforming homes into "perfect listening rooms."
The core product of the hi-fi range is the Coax Speaker, constructed from Baltic birch plywood. This material was chosen for its ability to minimize audio disruption and complement Tylko's existing shelving solutions, into which the speakers are designed to be housed. Customers can further enhance the system with optional subwoofers, also made from the same durable material. The speakers are available in premium high-gloss colorways such as "Signal Red," "Mint Green," and "Chalk White," designed to elevate interior aesthetics.
Tylko co-founder Ben Kuna commented on the motivation behind the collection, noting a perceived decline in "intentional, attentive" music listening in homes. He expressed a desire to reintroduce this focused engagement with music, which he described as a "strongest carrier of emotion," by creating dedicated space for it in daily life through Tylko Sound.
