LEGO Releases Official The X-Files Set

LEGO released an official The X-Files set on March 1, 2024, which originated as a fan submission and won the brand's '90s Nostalgia Challenge. The 1,478-piece build recreates Fox Mulder's iconic office and a separate UFO-over-forest arrival scene, offering fans a detailed display piece rooted in the paranormal themes of the '90s series. The construction is designed to function as two connected scenes, with the UFO appearing to hover above a woodland setting, which can also be displayed independently. Mulder's office, situated below, is filled with authentic details, and its desk section lifts away to reveal the interior. A notable Easter egg is the "I Want to Believe" poster, a recognizable symbol of the show. The combined model measures over 12 inches tall and approximately 9 inches wide and deep.

The set includes eight minifigures, catering to dedicated fans by featuring characters beyond the main leads. The lineup comprises Fox Mulder, Dana Scully, Walter Skinner, Mr. X, Alex Krycek, Carl Busch, The Flukeman, and a gray alien. Additional accessories include a frog and a bee, adding to the set's depth and rewarding viewers who followed the series closely. This extensive minifigure roster suggests a design aimed at those deeply familiar with the show, rather than a superficial acknowledgment of its most famous characters.
