The aid workers killed were identified as Saifeddin Issam Ayad Abutaha (25, from Gaza), Zomi Frankcom (43, from Australia), Jacob Flickinger (33, from Canada), John Chapman (57, from the UK), James Kirby (27, from the UK), James Henderson (41, from the UK), and Lalzawmi Frankcom (43, from Australia).

Andrés stated in a recent interview that the initial Israeli investigation, which acknowledged "grave" errors and led to the dismissal of two officers and the reprimand of others, was insufficient.
