Idris Elba's 22Summers Partners With Nile Media For West African Action Films

Idris Elba's production company, 22Summers, has announced a partnership with Nigeria's Nile Media Entertainment Group and the UK-based firm Action Xtreme. This collaboration aims to develop and produce a slate of action films that are rooted in African stories and originate from across West Africa. The initiative is focused on creating "high-energy, commercially driven action films."

The partnership seeks to leverage the combined expertise of the three companies to bring authentic West African narratives to the global screen. Nile Media Entertainment Group, led by Moses Babatope, brings its strong presence and understanding of the Nigerian and broader West African film markets. Action Xtreme, headed by Chee Keong Cheung, contributes its experience in producing genre films, particularly action movies.
