Graphpaper SS27 Collection Embraces Stillness and Space

Graphpaper unveiled its Spring/Summer 2027 collection, titled "What Time Leaves Behind," during Paris Fashion Week at 21 Rue Chapon. The collection emphasizes a Japanese philosophy of stillness and yohaku, which refers to the concept of empty space, prioritizing slow maturation over fleeting seasonal trends. Director Takayuki Minami designed a refined capsule collection where garments are intended to achieve their final form through the act of being worn, embodying a sense of unstudied gravity and intrinsic material presence.

The collection's color palette is drawn from natural elements transformed by time, featuring Stone White (aged porcelain), Moss Green (moss on wet stone), Oak (dry weathered wood), and Sumi (calligraphy ink on paper). The ready-to-wear line includes gender-neutral profiles, architectural loungewear, and engineered outerwear. Key pieces include structured linen-cupro V-neck overshirts paired with sarouel pants, open-back seersucker blouses, and multi-pleat trousers made from cupro-cotton satin.

Standout outerwear includes garment-dyed bal collar coats and yoke-sleeve blousons constructed with lightweight Pertex Unlimited textiles. Additionally, the collection features a full-grain leather raglan blouson in deep moss green and a rigid lamb leather Corbusier jacket. The minimalist aesthetic and focus on material quality aim to create garments with enduring appeal, reflecting a deliberate departure from fast fashion cycles.
