Anything AI Launches AI Agents as Virtual Employees

San Francisco-based startup Anything AI has introduced Skydive, a new product designed to allow companies to create custom AI agents that function as virtual employees. These AI agents are capable of performing a wide range of tasks, from bug investigation and engineering operations to brand management and executive assistance, mirroring the functions of human staff. The company envisions these AI agents as the future of corporate staffing, offering a solution for companies to scale their operations efficiently. Dhruv Amin and Marcus Lowe, former Google product leads, founded Anything AI last year with the goal of enabling non-technical individuals to build AI-powered applications. The company has already secured $11 million in financing, achieving a valuation of $100 million, with backing from prominent venture capital firms including Footwork, Uncork Capital, Bessemer Venture Partners, and M13. Anything AI reports that over one million users have utilized their platform to develop millions of applications, such as project trackers and customer relationship management systems. The new Skydive product builds upon this foundation by simplifying the process of hiring an "employee" to a matter of typing out a job description. Users can either define a custom AI "teammate" by detailing the required role or select from a catalog of four pre-designed agent templates. Once created, these AI agents can be integrated into various communication channels, including Slack and email, and can even be reached via their own dedicated phone numbers and iMessage. A key advantage highlighted by Anything AI is that these agents operate continuously, working even when human employees are offline. Dhruv Amin described the essence of Skydive as building "little AI agents to do work for you," emphasizing their capacity to handle tasks autonomously. The company's mission with Skydive is to make the creation and deployment of AI-powered workforce accessible to a broader audience, thereby transforming how businesses approach operational staffing and task management. The AI agents are designed to be always-on, ensuring continuous productivity and support for businesses that adopt the technology.
