Daveigh Chase, the voice of Lilo in Disney's "Lilo & Stitch" and the chilling Samara Morgan in "The Ring," died on Tuesday at the age of 35. Her boyfriend informed TMZ, which first reported her death, that Chase succumbed to meningitis and a blood infection following hospitalization. Chase's career began at a young age, with her role as Lilo Pelekai in the 2002 animated film "Lilo & Stitch" being one of her most recognized performances. She also lent her voice to the character of Chihiro in the English dub of Hayao Miyazaki's acclaimed "Spirited Away" in 2001. Her portrayal of the ghostly Samara Morgan in the 2002 horror film "The Ring" cemented her place in popular culture, with the film grossing over $249 million worldwide. Chase also appeared in "Donnie Darko" (2001) and had a recurring role as Abby in the HBO series "Big Love" from 2006 to 2011. Her last credited role was in the 2016 film "Wild in the Night."
