According to reports from The Sun, the Portuguese football icon is collaborating with acclaimed director Matthew Vaughn, known for his work on the 'Kingsman' franchise, on this project. Ronaldo is expected to not only star in the series but also serve as an executive producer. The drama's narrative reportedly centers on a fictional agent named Stanley Dalton, who will be portrayed by actor Damian Lewis. The original concept for the series is attributed to soccer agent Darren Dein. Filming for 'Day 1s' is understood to have commenced in London. The reported cast includes several prominent figures beyond Lewis, with French football legend Thierry Henry and the Grammy-winning rapper Dave slated to make appearances. The premise of 'Day 1s' has drawn comparisons to 'The Playoffs,' a recent Brazilian series from Globo that explored the world of a soccer agent and starred Cauã Reymond. This venture marks the first television series to emerge from UR•Marv, a production banner established by Cristiano Ronaldo and Matthew Vaughn. UR•Marv was first revealed last year as an offshoot of Vaughn's Marv Studios. The joint venture has previously announced the completion of two sports films, stating its intention to "embrace innovative technology, with a nod to tradition." Reports indicate that 'Day 1s' will be independently financed through UR•Marv. Matthew Vaughn brings a significant background in action-oriented filmmaking, having directed notable films such as 'Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels,' 'Layer Cake,' and 'X-Men: First Class,' in addition to the 'Kingsman' films.
