World of Hyatt Program Updates Award Charts and Benefits

The World of Hyatt loyalty program introduced significant changes to its award charts and benefits on May 20, 2026. The program transitioned from three award pricing tiers per category (off-peak, standard, and peak) to five: Lowest, Low, Moderate, Upper, and Top. This adjustment allows for greater variation in award rates within each category, potentially impacting the number of points required for award stays. Alongside the award chart revisions, Hyatt also implemented its annual category shifts on the same date. These shifts reassign properties to different award categories, meaning some hotels may now require more points for an award night, while others may require fewer. Members planning award stays are advised to verify current award rates before booking or transferring points.

In addition to pricing adjustments, World of Hyatt has enhanced award availability for certain members. Select elite members and holders of cobranded Hyatt credit cards now receive earlier access to some award night inventory. This new benefit aims to increase the utility of Hyatt elite status and its associated credit cards for members who book award stays well in advance. The program has also expanded its all-inclusive offerings by integrating participating Bahia Principe resorts. This partnership adds new destinations for earning and redeeming World of Hyatt points, including locations in the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Jamaica, and Spain.

Further enhancements are planned for the World of Hyatt program, including the upcoming introduction of digital points sharing. This feature is designed to simplify the process of combining points between World of Hyatt members. The program currently encompasses 38 distinct brands, offering a wide range of accommodation options for its members.
