Comcast Xfinity adds same-day delivery to get you online immediately

Comcast launched a same-day Xfinity Wi-Fi delivery service on March 20, 2024, enabling new customers to receive their Xfinity Gateway equipment on the same day they place an order. This new offering aims to eliminate the waiting period typically associated with setting up new internet service. The service is initially available in nearly 20 markets across the United States, including major cities such as Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, Houston, Nashville, Philadelphia, and San Francisco. Customers in these designated areas can now get online immediately after ordering their service, bypassing the need to wait for equipment to be shipped and installed. This initiative is designed to improve the customer onboarding experience by providing instant access to internet connectivity. The Xfinity Gateway is the central device that provides both Wi-Fi and internet access within a customer's home. The company has not yet announced plans for expanding this same-day delivery service to additional markets beyond the initial launch. This move by Comcast positions them to compete more effectively with other internet service providers by addressing a common pain point for new subscribers: the delay in getting connected.
