Bugatti Unveils One-Off W16 Mistral with Porcelain Accents

Bugatti has unveiled its latest bespoke creation from the Sur Mesure division, the one-of-one W16 Mistral “Blanc Éternel.” This unique hypercar was developed in direct collaboration with KPM (Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Berlin), a historic German luxury porcelain manufacturer. The project incorporates real porcelain components into both the exterior and interior trim, marking a significant integration of fine art materials into automotive design. The "Blanc Éternel" serves as a spiritual successor to the 2011 Veyron Grand Sport L’Or Blanc, which also featured porcelain elements.

The design of the W16 Mistral “Blanc Éternel” is characterized by a pristine, porcelain-inspired white base for its exterior bodywork. Artisans dedicated hundreds of hours to meticulously hand-masking and painting bold, fluid geometric black lines across the body panels. This distinctive livery is intended to evoke the aesthetic of a high-tech digital wireframe model, presenting a look that is both futuristic and delicately detailed. The integration of KPM's heritage is evident through the use of actual, physical porcelain embedded within the hypercar's architecture, extending beyond mere color inspiration.

Real porcelain has been incorporated into key areas of the hypercar. On the exterior, the precious, hand-finished material accents the fuel filler cap. Inside the cabin, the same exquisite porcelain is applied to the center console, the gearshift knob, and the Bugatti "Macaron" emblem on the rear. This collaboration highlights Bugatti's commitment to pushing the boundaries of hypercar customization by merging its engineering prowess with the centuries-old artistry of royal porcelain production. The "Blanc Éternel" represents the final chapter for Bugatti's pure combustion engine era, celebrated with an unprecedented level of material luxury and craftsmanship.
