Breguet Marine Line Features New "Quai de L’Horloge" Guilloché Dials

Breguet has introduced new iterations of its Marine 5517 three-hand model and Marine Chronographe 5527 flyback chronograph, both now featuring hand-guilloché "Quai de L’Horloge" dials. These updates honor the brand's historical appointment as Watchmaker to the French Royal Navy in 1815, blending maritime heritage with contemporary luxury. The new designs incorporate subtle architectural enhancements, such as repositioning the date window to the 6 o'clock position to improve dial symmetry. Additional design elements include a gold applique at 12 o'clock, a wave-shaped crown guard, and a seconds hand counterweight shaped like the nautical "Bravo" flag. The Marine 5517 model maintains a streamlined aesthetic with a 40mm case and a three-hand display. Its gold dial is meticulously decorated by hand with Breguet’s "Quai de L’Horloge" guilloché pattern. This motif, first introduced for the Maison’s 250th anniversary, draws inspiration from the contours of Paris’ Île de la Cité and Île Saint-Louis, as well as the movement of water. The white-gold edition of the 5517 is presented with an ice-blue dial, the rose-gold version features a black dial, and the titanium model is equipped with a blue dial. All variants of the 5517 display Breguet numerals and "apple" hands, with nautical cues including a seconds hand referencing the "Bravo" maritime flag. Powering the Marine 5517 is Breguet’s self-winding Calibre 777A, which operates at a frequency of 4 Hz and offers a power reserve of 55 hours. The Marine Chronographe 5527, with its larger 42.3mm case, builds upon the same design language but incorporates a flyback chronograph complication. This model features two counters positioned at 3 and 9 o’clock for elapsed minutes and small seconds, respectively, in addition to the date display at 6 o’clock. The hand-guilloché dial on the 5527 is available in blue-gradient finishes for the white- and rose-gold versions, and a grey gradient for the titanium model. The 5527 is powered by an automatic movement that supports the flyback chronograph function.
