ASICS revealed a new "Slate Blue" colorway for its GEL-SD-LYTE model on July 16. This iteration features a dual-layer upper construction, inspired by an egg's anatomical structure, comprising a breathable inner mesh "membrane" and a rigid, synthetic "shell" overlay. The "Slate Blue" hue covers the upper, contrasted by an "Earthly Cocoa Powder" shade on the lower half of the shoe. The design balances industrial and natural tones, with a matte, rubberized finish on the synthetic overlays against the textured textile base.

The GEL-SD-LYTE "Slate Blue" colorway, identified by SKU 1203A886.401, is priced at ¥19,800 JPY, approximately $123 USD. The sneaker incorporates ASICS' signature GEL cushioning system for responsive comfort and shock absorption. A durable rubber outsole is included for traction. Branding elements, such as tonal leather ASICS Tiger Stripes and embroidered logos, are subtly integrated into the design, reinforcing the brand's heritage.
