Apple announces visionOS 27 with Siri AI

Apple announced visionOS 27 during its WWDC keynote presentation on Monday, June 10, 2024. Users can leverage visual intelligence to ask Siri questions about their surroundings or content within the headset. The update also brings new features to macOS, iOS, and iPadOS, including enhancements to Apple Intelligence, the company's suite of AI features. These new AI capabilities aim to improve user interactions across Apple's ecosystem, offering more personalized and context-aware assistance. Apple Intelligence will be integrated into core apps like Mail, Pages, and Calendar, providing features such as text summarization and smart replies. The company stated that these AI features will be available on devices with A17 Pro chips or newer for iPhone 15 Pro and later, and M-series chips for iPads and Macs. The rollout of visionOS 27 and the broader Apple Intelligence features is scheduled for later this year, with a public beta expected in July.
