Anicorn and Kojima Productions Launch LUDENS X Watch

Anicorn and Kojima Productions have collaborated to launch the LUDENS X collection, marking the 10th anniversary of Kojima Productions. This new release follows their initial SPACE LUDENS collaboration from 2022 and features a darker, sharper, and more cinematic aesthetic, supervised by Hideo Kojima and Yoji Shinkawa. The collection is designed around the concept of an "EVA Creative Suit on the wrist," drawing inspiration from the futuristic space armor worn by the studio's mascot, Ludens. The LUDENS X Watch Set includes a timepiece with a blackened stainless steel case measuring 39mm in diameter and 12.7mm in thickness. The case is distinguished by four corner screws and gold-tone hardware, which are intended to echo the mechanical structure of the Ludens EVA suit. The bezel is engraved with the mottos "BEYOND THE STRAND" and "INTO OUTER SPACE," signifying a thematic progression from connection to cosmic exploration. The watch's multi-layered dial face presents a dark, industrial interface, enhanced by a brushed metallic panel, exposed screw elements, a 10th-anniversary marker, and Kojima Productions graphic branding. For visibility in low light, the polished hour and minute hands are treated with blue-emitting Super-LumiNova BGW9, all protected by a sapphire glass crystal. Internally, the timepiece is equipped with a modified NH35-ATD automatic movement, which can be viewed through an exhibition caseback that displays custom collaboration branding and individual numbering. The LUDENS X Watch Set is scheduled to be released on August 5, 2026, at 10 p.m. EDT, with a retail price of $940 USD. Purchasers will have two interchangeable options for wearing the watch: a black stainless steel bracelet and a strap made of carbon fiber-patterned leather. In addition to the watch, the collection includes an exclusive black cuff bracelet adorned with gold-tone engravings and a serialized Metal Print Warranty Card, all presented within a display case. The collaboration aims to blend the distinct design philosophies of both Anicorn, known for its minimalist and functional timepieces, and Kojima Productions, renowned for its innovative and cinematic video game creations. This partnership underscores the growing trend of collaborations between entertainment studios and watchmakers to create unique merchandise that appeals to fan bases and collectors alike.
