Acer Predator XB253Q U1 Hits 1,000Hz at 1080p

Acer expanded its monitor offerings at IFA 2026 by introducing eight new displays across its Predator, Acer Nitro, and Acer ProDesigner product lines. These new monitors incorporate advanced technologies such as OLED panels, Mini LED backlighting, and dynamic resolution switching capabilities. The flagship model, the 24-inch Predator XB253Q U1, marks a significant technological advancement as the first 1080p monitor from Acer to achieve a refresh rate of 1,000Hz. This 1,000Hz refresh rate represents a substantial leap in performance for competitive gaming, transitioning the technology from an experimental concept to a practical tool for professional players. Previously, such high refresh rates were often limited to lower resolutions like 720p. By enabling a 1,000Hz refresh rate at a full 1080p resolution, the Predator XB253Q U1 allows gamers to experience exceptional speed without compromising visual clarity. To further enhance the gaming experience, the display features Acer's Visual Response Boost Pro technology, a Circular Polarizer to minimize glare, and comprehensive support for both AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-Sync adaptive sync technologies. The Predator XB253Q U1 is scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2027 with a retail price of $1,099. In addition to the high-speed gaming monitor, Acer also introduced the Acer Nitro XZ340CKR P, a curved 34-inch monitor designed for immersive gaming. While it does not feature Mini LED backlighting, it supports a native resolution of 5,120 x 2,160 pixels at a 180Hz refresh rate. Gamers can also opt for a maximum refresh rate of 360Hz when using a WFHD resolution on this curved display. The Acer Nitro XZ340CKR P is slated to go on sale in the fourth quarter of 2026, priced at $1,199 USD. The Predator lineup also welcomes the Predator XB273K V7, a 27-inch monitor offering a maximum refresh rate of 500Hz for $499. Furthermore, the 31.5-inch Predator X32 V3, featuring a QD-OLED Penta Tandem panel and a 180Hz refresh rate, will be available in the first quarter of 2027 for $899 USD. These new additions underscore Acer's commitment to delivering high-performance display solutions across various gaming and professional segments.
