2028 BMW iM3

BMW announced the upcoming 2028 iM3 electric sedan on May 15, 2024, marking a significant shift towards electrification for its performance M division. This model is expected to feature a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system, delivering an estimated 500 horsepower, a substantial increase from its internal combustion engine predecessors. The iM3 will also incorporate an 800-volt architecture, enabling faster charging speeds, with a target of adding 200 miles of range in approximately 10 minutes. BMW plans to utilize a new generation of battery technology, potentially offering a range exceeding 350 miles on a single charge.
