Ram 1500 RHO Replaces TRX With 702 HP V8

The 2025 Ram 1500 RHO has been unveiled, marking a significant shift in Ram's high-performance off-road truck lineup by replacing the TRX model. This new iteration retains the formidable 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI V8 engine, delivering an impressive 702 horsepower and 702 lb-ft of torque, a power output that previously defined the TRX. However, the RHO introduces a more accessible entry point into this segment of the market, with a starting MSRP of $87,595, which is $15,000 less than the outgoing TRX's original sticker price. This strategic pricing adjustment aims to broaden the appeal of Ram's most potent off-road truck.

Beyond its powertrain, the Ram 1500 RHO boasts substantial upgrades designed to enhance its off-road prowess. It features a revised suspension system with longer travel, measuring 12.2 inches at the front and 13.5 inches at the rear, an increase of 2 inches and 1 inch respectively compared to the TRX. This enhanced suspension, coupled with Bilstein Black Hawk e2 adaptive dampers, allows for greater articulation and control over challenging terrain. The RHO also benefits from a wider track width, contributing to improved stability and handling during aggressive off-road maneuvers. Ram has equipped the RHO with 37-inch Goodyear Wrangler Territory all-terrain tires, the same size as those found on the TRX, wrapped around 18-inch beadlock-capable wheels, further underscoring its off-road focus.

Structural and aerodynamic enhancements are also key features of the 2025 Ram 1500 RHO. The truck incorporates a new front fascia with a larger grille and a functional hood scoop to improve airflow to the supercharged V8 engine, contributing to its sustained performance. The wider fender flares, a signature element of the TRX, are carried over to the RHO, accommodating the wider stance and larger tires. Ram has also implemented a redesigned chassis with increased torsional rigidity, providing a more robust platform for extreme off-road use. Inside, the Ram 1500 RHO offers a premium and technologically advanced cabin, reflecting its flagship status. Buyers can choose from two interior packages: the standard RHO trim and the RHO Premium. The standard RHO interior features black and red accents, a 14.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Uconnect 5, and a 12-inch digital instrument cluster. The RHO Premium package elevates the experience with luxurious materials, including full-leather seating surfaces, and an upgraded audio system. Both configurations are designed to provide comfort and durability for demanding off-road adventures.
