Maserati Slashes Grecale Folgore Price by Over $22,000

Maserati significantly reduced the starting price of its electric Grecale Folgore SUV, slashing over $22,000 from last year's MSRP. The 2027 model now begins at $86,200, a substantial decrease from the 2024 model's $108,500 starting price. This price adjustment positions the Grecale Folgore more competitively within the luxury electric SUV market.

The Grecale Folgore is Maserati's first all-electric SUV, built on the same platform as its gasoline-powered counterparts. It features a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system, producing 500 horsepower and 538 pound-feet of torque. The SUV is equipped with a 105 kWh battery pack, offering an estimated range of 310 miles on a single charge. It supports DC fast charging, capable of replenishing the battery from 20% to 80% in approximately 29 minutes.

This price reduction comes as the automotive industry experiences shifts in demand and pricing strategies for electric vehicles. Competitors in the luxury EV segment have also seen price adjustments, making the market increasingly dynamic. Maserati's move aims to attract a broader customer base to its electric offerings, potentially boosting sales volume for the Grecale Folgore. The company is also introducing a new entry-level trim for the gasoline-powered Grecale, further diversifying its lineup and appealing to different price points.

Beyond the Grecale Folgore, Maserati is committed to electrification, with plans to offer electric versions of all its models by 2027. This includes the upcoming electric GranTurismo Folgore and the anticipated electric Quattroporte. The brand's strategy involves leveraging its performance heritage while embracing sustainable technology, with the Grecale Folgore serving as a key component in this transition.
