Fiat Topolino Electric Microcar Details Emerge

The 2026 Fiat Topolino electric microcar is slated for a European launch, targeting urban mobility with its compact design and eco-friendly powertrain. This two-seater vehicle, reminiscent of the original Topolino from the 1930s, aims to provide a stylish and accessible solution for city dwellers. Production is expected to commence in Stellantis's Tychy plant in Poland.

The Topolino will be powered by an electric motor and a small battery pack, offering an estimated range of 47 miles on a single charge. This range is suitable for short urban commutes and errands. The vehicle's top speed is limited to approximately 28 mph, further emphasizing its city-centric purpose. Charging will be facilitated through a standard Type 2 connector.

Fiat is positioning the Topolino as a "chic, electric, and fun" mobility option. It will feature a simple interior with basic amenities, focusing on functionality and ease of use. The exterior design will incorporate retro styling cues, including a choice of "Sweet Vanilla" or "Earth Grey" paint finishes. Optional accessories will include a summer roof and a decorative door stripe.

The microcar will be available through a "car-sharing" subscription model in Italy, with a monthly fee of €39 for 36 months, including 200 km of driving allowance. This approach aims to make electric mobility more accessible and flexible for consumers. The Topolino is also expected to be offered for outright purchase in other European markets, though pricing details for those regions have not yet been fully disclosed.
