Zinedine Zidane Expected to Coach France National Football Team

The French Soccer Federation is preparing for a significant leadership change as Didier Deschamps is set to step down as head coach after 14 years. Legendary former player Zinedine Zidane is widely anticipated to be named his successor. Despite managing a generation of top talent like Kylian Mbappé, the team's offensive performance has reportedly led the federation to seek a new tactical direction. Zidane, 54, a celebrated figure in French football and a three-time Champions League winner with Real Madrid, is considered the prime candidate to implement a more creative and expansive playing style.

If confirmed by the federation in the upcoming days, Zidane's first match as head coach is expected to be on September 25 against Turkey in the Nations League. This appointment would mark his return to management after a five-year break since his departure from Real Madrid in 2021.
