Xbox prices spike another $100 or more

Microsoft announced price increases for its Xbox consoles, effective August 1st. The 512GB models will see a $100 price hike, and the 1TB models will increase by $150. Consequently, the Xbox Series S will now retail for a starting price of $499.99. The Xbox Series X console without a disc drive will begin at $749.99, and the Series X model with a disc drive will also experience a price adjustment. This marks the second significant price increase for Xbox consoles in the past year, following a previous $50 to $100 rise in August 2023. The company cited rising costs and market conditions as reasons for the adjustments.
