WWDC 2026 live blog: On the ground at Apple’s keynote
Apple announced iOS 18, iPadOS 18, macOS 15, watchOS 11, and tvOS 17 during its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) on June 10, 2024. The company unveiled "Apple Intelligence," a new personal intelligence system integrated across its operating systems, featuring generative AI capabilities. This system will offer features such as writing tools, image generation, and enhanced Siri functionality. Apple Intelligence will be available on iPhone 15 Pro and later, M1 chip iPads, and Macs, with a phased rollout beginning in fall 2024. The company also announced partnerships with OpenAI, integrating ChatGPT into Siri and other system features, with user permission required for data sharing. The new operating systems will also include significant updates to Photos, Messages, and Safari, with features like a redesigned Photos app, tapbacks in Messages, and a new Safari web browser experience.
