World-renowned climber Nirmal Purja among 10 struck by avalanche on Pakistan mountain

A devastating avalanche on Pakistan's Broad Peak has tragically affected a team of 10 climbers, prominently featuring the globally acclaimed Nepali mountaineer Nirmal "Nims" Purja. Purja, a former member of the elite British Special Forces, was part of this expedition when the perilous incident unfolded. As of Friday, rescue teams have managed to locate four bodies amidst the treacherous debris of the avalanche. Two of the deceased have been positively identified: Pur Bahadur Gurung, a fellow Nepali national, and Nadhira Alharthy.
