Israel's Political Divide Centers on Palestinian Statehood

The traditional left-right political spectrum in Israel is significantly reconfigured, with the primary points of contention revolving around the issues of Palestinian statehood and the occupation of Palestinian territories. Unlike in many Western democracies where economic policy often defines political alignments, Israeli politics is largely shaped by differing views on security, the future of the West Bank, and the potential for a two-state solution.
