West Ham sign defender Riesen on three-year deal

West Ham United signed defender Nadine Riesen on a three-year contract on July 1, 2024, following her departure from Eintracht Frankfurt. Riesen, who has 15 caps for the Swiss national team, joins West Ham on a free transfer. She previously played for FC Basel and was part of the Eintracht Frankfurt squad that reached the Frauen-Bundesliga playoffs in the 2023-2024 season. The 24-year-old Swiss international is West Ham's third signing of the summer transfer window, following the arrivals of Shelina Zadorsky and Emma Snerle. Her addition is expected to bolster West Ham's defensive options ahead of the upcoming Women's Super League season.
