Watford great Jackett dies aged 64

Kenny Jackett, former manager for Watford and Swansea City, and a Wales international, died on June 20, 2024, at the age of 64. Jackett managed Watford from 2001 to 2005, leading them to promotion from the third tier to the Championship in the 2005-06 season. He later took charge of Swansea City from 2004 to 2006, before moving on to manage Millwall, where he spent five years and achieved promotion to the Championship in 2010. His coaching career also included spells at Rotherham United and Portsmouth. Jackett earned 29 caps for the Wales national team during his playing career, which began at his hometown club, Watford, in 1977. He made over 300 appearances for the club before transferring to Brighton & Hove Albion in 1987.
