MN Custom Homes Rebrands as Azori, Expands to Arizona

Bellevue, Washington-based Azori, formerly known as MN Custom Homes, announced its expansion into Arizona on Tuesday, with an initial focus on Scottsdale. This move signifies the company's first venture beyond the Pacific Northwest and coincides with a company-wide rebranding. The new name, Azori, is derived from the ancient word 'azor,' meaning helper, and is intended to reflect the firm's evolution towards a more design- and experience-focused offering, while retaining its established legacy of craftsmanship and client service. The expansion into Arizona builds upon more than 15 years of experience in delivering high-end residences in Washington. Azori plans to extend its vertically integrated model into the high-growth Sun Belt market. The custom homebuilder stated that it will continue to align architecture, interior design, and construction from the project's inception. This integrated approach is supported by a home care program that offers post-close warranty and concierge services. The rebranding also aims to capture the company's broader vision, as articulated by co-founder Joe Naeseth. He stated that the shift to Azori reflects "a more refined, design-driven and experience-focused approach" that is grounded in the company's existing standards of quality. Azori's initial projects in Scottsdale are slated to include several luxury residences. These homes are designed to balance elevated aesthetics with day-to-day livability and are intended to respond to the local landscape and lifestyle. For these initial Scottsdale homes, Azori is collaborating with local design firms DesignTank and Grady Olsen Design. A new Scottsdale office will serve as the operational base for local activities and future development initiatives. Shaun McFadden, CEO and co-founder of Azori, expressed enthusiasm for the expansion, stating, "Expanding into Arizona is a natural next step for us." He further elaborated that the company has spent over a decade refining its processes to build homes that prioritize both design and durability, and that bringing this methodology to a new market, particularly one with strong demand, is a strategic move. The company's established track record in Washington, where it has successfully completed numerous custom homes, provides a strong foundation for this new market entry. The choice of Scottsdale as the first Arizona location is strategic, given its reputation as a hub for luxury real estate and its appeal to a discerning clientele.
