Vivo V80 Series Launch Expected Next Month
The Vivo V80 series is anticipated to launch globally next month, according to industry sources cited by GSMArena. While official confirmation from Vivo is pending, leaked specifications provide an early look at the devices.
The Vivo V80 Pro is expected to feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 1440 x 3200 pixels. Under the hood, it is rumored to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. The device is also tipped to house a substantial 5,000mAh battery with support for 80W wired and 50W wireless charging.
Camera specifications for the V80 Pro reportedly include a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultrawide lens, and a 50MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom. A 32MP front-facing camera is expected for selfies. The standard Vivo V80 is likely to share some similarities but may feature a slightly less powerful chipset, potentially the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, and a different camera configuration, possibly a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro lens.
Both models are expected to run on Android 14 with Vivo's Funtouch OS 14 overlay. Pricing and exact release dates are yet to be announced, but the leaks suggest a competitive offering within the mid-to-high-end smartphone market. The series aims to build on the success of its predecessors by offering enhanced performance and camera features.
